Elected to Congress in 1984, Dick Armey was the primary author of the “Contract with America.” Armey ran unopposed for Majority Leader in the 104th Congress and that Congress passed the first balanced budget in a generation. Armey was also influential in key legislation related to e-commerce and the economy, development of a flat tax and homeland defense.

Armey is the senior policy advisor at DLA Piper US LLP, a global law firm with over 3,000 attorneys, serving in the Government Affairs, Federal Legislative Practice Group of the Washington, DC office. He is also chairman of Freedom Works Inc. and Empower America (a think tank founded by former Secretary of Education Bill Bennett and former Congressman Jack Kemp).

Jeremy Bowler is a Senior Director at J.D. Power and Associates, where he leads the global Insurance Practice. He is responsible for strategic business development spanning syndicated and proprietary research and consulting services for the property and casualty industries. During his tenure with the company, Mr. Bowler has developed industry benchmarks in the insurance, healthcare, banking and mortgage industries. Mr. Bowler has nearly 20 years of experience in market research and consulting.

Prior to joining J.D. Power and Associates in 2001, he was associate director for strategic planning and analytics with Young and Rubicam, Inc., where he was responsible for all research-based customer insight for the agency’s advertising and direct marketing clients.

Julie Rochman joined IBHS in November 2007 with more than 20 years of public affairs and advocacy experience representing major corporations, research and safety organizations, and issue-based coalitions. She joined IBHS from The Glover Park Group, a leading Washington, D.C.-based strategic communication consulting firm, where she was senior vice president of public affairs, managing a portfolio primarily comprising financial services sector clients. Prior to that, Ms. Rochman was senior vice president of public affairs for the American Insurance Association (AIA), a national public policy advocacy organization for property-casualty insurance companies. As a member of AIA’s management team for six years, Ms. Rochman was responsible for developing and executing integrated communication campaigns to achieve AIA’s public policy goals at both the state and federal levels.

From November 1996 until late 2000, Ms. Rochman was vice president of communications for the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), where she successfully managed media relations for the IIHS and the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI).

Fred has been involved in X12 since 1987, and is currently working with X12 to develop Subrogation business messages with a focus on coordination of future message development.

Steve Kluz is a lawyer at the law firm of Stoel Rives in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He also graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School where he served as the student director of the bankruptcy clinic.

Tim Clark, CPCU, enjoyed a 25 year career with Safeco where he served in a variety of field and home office property, auto, and casualty management positions, including Assistant Vice President of Claims Operations. As a result of Safeco’s $2.2 billion acquisition of American States, Clark had overall responsibility for managing the integration of the Safeco and American States Insurance claims departments. Clark led multiple claims teams that were responsible for combining all operations over an 18 month period of time involving 3,500 employees and achieving $106 million in LAE savings.

During the last five years, Clark has managed the Insurance Services Division of Performance Claims. Performance Claims is a claims technology company that helps insurers optimize their management of both auto and property supply chain providers. As the first company in the industry to adopt and deploy the CIECA BMS standard, Performance Claims is committed to reducing the cost of ownership through the use of open, non-proprietary systems. Insurers have experienced greater management controls, realizing significant process and efficiency gains using claims solutions developed by Performance Claims.

Clark’s past industry involvement includes Vice Chairman of National Crime Bureau’s FACTA organization; Secretary and Treasurer of I-CAR; and Director and Treasurer of CAPA.

Joe has more than 25 years experience in the insurance, shop, and IA arenas. Prior to joining Esurance in 2005, he worked for GE Property and Casualty (acquired by AIG), started an independent appraisal company servicing northern NJ, and held a position with the New Jersey Department of Insurance monitoring material damage compliance by the companies contracted to administer the large NJ assigned risk pool. Joe began his career at Hanover Insurance in the early 80’s - first as an appraiser and then being promoted into various management positions.

Peter began his career in 1986 with Continental Insurance Company where held a succession of assignments of increasing responsibility at locations in New Jersey, New York and California. After the merger of Continental and CNA Insurance Company in 1995, Peter transferred to Georgia and then Illinois where held positions of National Catastrophe Claim Manager and Regional Claim Vice President. Prior to joining Private Client Group, Peter worked at Chubb Insurance in Chesapeake, VA and Phoenix, AZ.

Roger Wright has spent over 30 years in the collision repair industry working with major property and casualty insurers and with Collision Team of America and CARSTAR. Wright has been an active participant in the collision repair industry since the mid-eighties. He was the vice-chair of I-CAR for the State of South Carolina in 1985, state I-CAR chairmen for Massachusetts from 1987 – 1991, a lead I-CAR Instructor in Unibody, Plastic Repair, Refinish, Anti-Lock Brakes and Supplemental Restraint Systems from 1987 through 1993. He was also Chairman of the ISO/AISG Auto Physical Damage Committee from 1994 – 1997. He was inducted into the Collision Repair Hall of Eagles in 1997. He is a Past Chairman of I-CAR’s International Board of Directors and also a past Chairman of the Collision Industry Conference.

Rick graduated from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in June of 1986 and two weeks later he started his career with Trans Canada Glass in Burnaby, BC. Rick spent 15 years with TCG International, the owners of Speedy Glass, Apple Auto Glass and Novus Windshield repair, and during his time at TCG he was involved in creating Canada's first Glass Claims Centre for the Insurance Industry. Within in 1 year of operation the centre has grown to processing over $40 million in glass claims for a select group of insurance companies and fleet companies in Canada. In 2003, after 15 years in the auto glass industry, he moved from vendor side to insurer side and started a career with TD Meloche Monnex a member of the TD Bank Financial Group. At TD Insurance Rick has held positions within the senior claims management group as Vice President of Western Canada claims and currently as Senior Manager, National claims since 2006. Rick is responsible for all national vendor programs within TD Insurance of which Auto Glass is a major component. He is currently on the Executive Committee for the Canadian Insurance Claims Managers Association of Ontario and currently Co-chair for the United Way committee and the March of Dimes committee for TD Insurance.

Pete Consigli is an RIA Certified Restorer (CR), and Water Loss Specialist (WLS) and been a member of the Restoration Industry Association (formerly ASCR, International) since 1977. Involved with RIA’s/ASCR’s former Water Loss Institute (WLI) since its inception, Pete has played an integral role in the evolution of the WLS program. He was past education chair for the WLI and served as program facilitator for its annual conferences in the 1990s. In 2004, he was appointed course facilitator for the association’s prestigious Water Loss Specialist (WLS) program. Pete has been appointed to oversee RIA’s Donnybrook style moderated panel debates on the hot topics and important issues facing the industry today.
